About the Role & Grad2Teach Programme
This Graduate Trainee Primary Teacher role is offered through the Grad2Teach salaried initial teacher training programme, which blends real classroom experience with academic study to gain your PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
With Grad2Teach, you will:

Begin as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, supporting classroom learning across different year groups

Progress through a two-phase training model that grows your skills and confidence

Complete a PGCE with QTS through our partner, Coventry University

Earn a salary while training—no tuition fees required

Receive personalised mentoring and access to a blended training programme based on the Teaching Standards and Core Content Framework
Phase 1: Develop classroom experience, support pupils, and observe expert teaching
Phase 2: Take on up to 18 hours of independent teaching per week while completing your PGCE
This is the ideal route for graduates ready to learn through doing, with the support and structure to succeed.
Candidate Requirements

Hold a UK bachelor’s degree (in any subject)

Have (or are working towards) GCSEs in English, Maths, and Science (some flexibility is available in Phase 1)
