About the Role & Grad2Teach Programme
This Graduate Trainee Primary Teacher role is part of the Grad2Teach salaried initial teacher training programme, offering the unique opportunity to train in the classroom while earning your teaching qualification.
You will:

Begin as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, supporting pupils across different key stages

Progress through a two-phase training model, building your skills and confidence as an educator

Complete a PGCE with QTS, delivered in partnership with Coventry University

Earn a salary while training—no student tuition fees

Receive structured mentorship and access to a blended training programme based on the Teaching Standards and Core Content Framework
Phase 1: Gain valuable classroom insight through guided support roles and observations
Phase 2: Take on increased teaching responsibility, delivering up to 18 hours per week while completing your PGCE coursework

Candidate Requirements
To be eligible, candidates should:

Hold a UK bachelor’s degree (in any subject)

Be passionate about working with children and shaping early educational experiences

Demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and a desire to grow professionally

Hold (or be working towards) GCSEs in English, Maths, and Science (some flexibility available during Phase 1)
