About the Role & Grad2Teach Programme
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside experienced teachers and support learning across different year groups, including Early Years and Key Stages 1 and 2. You will also begin your journey with Grad2Teach—an initial teacher training programme that combines salaried classroom experience with academic training.
With Grad2Teach, you will:

Begin in a Graduate TA role, supporting teachers, working with small groups, and learning classroom dynamics

Progress through a structured two-phase training programme

Work towards a PGCE with QTS through our partner, Coventry University

Earn a salary while training, with no upfront tuition fees

Receive ongoing mentorship and training aligned to the Teaching Standards and Core Content Framework
Phase 1: Focus on classroom support and development of foundational skills.
Phase 2: Increase responsibility with independent teaching (up to 18 hours per week) and PGCE coursework.
This is a fully supported route for graduates looking to enter the teaching profession in a practical and financially sustainable way.
Candidate Requirements

Hold a bachelor’s degree (in any subject)

Ideally hold GCSEs in English, Maths, and Science (some flexibility during Phase 1 is possible)
