About the Role

A Nurturing, Inclusive Primary School in Berkshire

This opportunity is based at a values-led primary school set within a caring, multicultural community. The school is committed to ensuring every child feels safe, respected, and empowered to achieve their best. With a strong emphasis on kindness, curiosity, and high expectations, pupils are encouraged to take pride in their learning and celebrate their individual strengths.

The school environment is nurturing and inclusive, with experienced staff supporting a broad and engaging curriculum across the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 and 2. Family partnerships and emotional wellbeing are at the heart of the school’s ethos, making this an ideal training ground for future educators who are compassionate, enthusiastic, and ready to make a difference.

About the Role & Grad2Teach Programme

This Graduate Trainee Primary Teacher placement is the first step in your salaried teaching journey through the Grad2Teach Initial Teacher Training programme. You’ll gain classroom experience while training to become a fully qualified teacher, all while earning a salary.

Through Grad2Teach, you will:

  • Begin with a Graduate Teaching Assistant role, supporting teachers and small groups of pupils

  • Progress through our two-phase training programme, designed to grow your skills and confidence

  • Work towards a PGCE with QTS, delivered in partnership with Coventry University

  • Receive a salary while training—no tuition debt required

  • Benefit from consistent mentorship, peer collaboration, and a blended training model aligned with the Teaching Standards and Core Content Framework

Phase 1: Support-focused, including observations, small group work, and developing your teaching toolkit.
Phase 2: Begin teaching independently (up to 18 hours/week) while completing PGCE assessments and coursework.

This pathway is perfect for graduates seeking a supported, salaried, and practical route into primary teaching.
