Aspiring Trainee Primary Teacher

With over 20 years of experience working with children and young people (10 years voluntary and 10 years in schools), I have developed transferable skills and extensive on-the-job training. My experience includes assessing children, settling Early Years intake, creating and delivering lesson plans, organizing activities, managing behavior, supervising school outings (including residential trips), writing reports, and engaging children in reading and storytelling. I have also taken assemblies and maintained strong communication with parents.

As a former Reading Coordinator for Early Years, I taught reading and writing using the Jolly Phonics program and set termly and yearly reading targets. My qualifications include a Jolly Phonics course, Paediatric First Aid certification, and serving as a Health and Safety Officer. These skills, combined with my dedication and enthusiasm, make me confident in my ability to contribute meaningfully as a primary teacher.
