Aspiring Trainee History Teacher

Ioanna is an aspiring history teacher with a sharp analytical mind and a commitment to making history relevant and engaging. Currently studying History at King’s College London, she understands the importance of clear communication and structured thinking—skills she is eager to develop in students.

Her experience as a presenter at Elevate Education has strengthened her ability to deliver engaging lessons, break down complex ideas, and adapt to different learning needs. Leading large-scale seminars has prepared her to hold a room, build rapport, and encourage student participation. As Head Girl at Christ College Finchley, she developed strong mentoring skills and contributed to a positive learning culture.

Ioanna is aware of the challenges of teaching history, particularly engaging students with exam-style writing and challenging narratives. She is keen to develop strategies that bring history to life, using debate and discussion to deepen understanding.

With additional experience in marketing and customer service, she is adaptable, confident, and comfortable working with diverse groups. Fluent in Albanian and with basic Greek, she values inclusivity and clear communication.
