About the Role

About the Role:

Are you passionate about Psychology and ready to inspire the next generation? Launch your teaching career through a paid, experience-led Initial Teacher Training programme while working towards a PGCE with QTS. This is your chance to train as a Psychology teacher for students aged 14–19, all while earning a salary in a vibrant West London school.

About the School:

Join a dynamic and forward-thinking studio college located in Hayes, West London, known for its personalised approach to learning and strong emphasis on preparing students for career pathways. With a clear focus on business and health & social care, the school promotes a culture of ambition, mutual respect, and individual growth. The setting is small, allowing for close-knit support between staff and students, and is part of a wider trust committed to innovation and inclusion. The school has a positive Ofsted track record, offers strong pastoral care, and is deeply embedded in the local community, serving a richly diverse student population.

About the Role & Training Programme:

As part of the Grad2Teach programme, you’ll train in-school while receiving structured support to develop your teaching skills in line with the Core Content Framework.
This salaried, two-phase programme includes:

  • A fully funded PGCE with QTS awarded by Coventry University

  • Support from experienced mentors and school-based colleagues

  • Blended learning including in-person experience and academic study

  • A pathway to full Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and career progression

You’ll play an active role in the Psychology department, planning and delivering engaging lessons, supporting learners of varying abilities, and growing your confidence in classroom practice.

What We're Looking For:

We’re seeking individuals who are:

  • Educated to degree level (ideally in Psychology or a closely related field)

  • Committed, resilient, and eager to make a difference in young people’s lives

  • Open to feedback and willing to learn in a dynamic school environment

Please note: While some GCSE requirements are flexible during Phase 1, all candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.
