I am excited about the opportunity from Grad2Teach to pursue a teaching career. My educational journey was shaped by dedicated teachers who greatly influenced my success and interests. A memorable experience was participating in the national Debating Matters competition, where my teacher's guidance helped us place joint 5th out of 300 schools. This inspired me to want to make a similar impact on future students. . I earned an A* in A-level philosophy, a first-class degree from the University of Liverpool, and a high merit in my graduate studies at UCL. My experience with young people includes tutoring in Fiji, volunteering with the Whitechapel Centre, and leading a children's group at my local church. I have also written for the online newspaper Distilled Post, further honing my communication skills.

With five years of experience teaching mathematics and a history of teaching chess to hundreds of children, he aims to make a meaningful impact on young learners. Oyekunle has honed vital teaching skills, including differentiated instruction, formative as-sessment, and classroom management. I am pursuing a primary teaching degree inspired by influential teachers and my passion for working with children. My father's dedication as a teacher and an exceptional secondary school physics teacher sparked my interest. This deepened with the birth of my son, Jayden, who has Down Syndrome, giving me insight into special needs education. Early volunteer experiences at my local church solidified my commitment to teaching. I am drawn to primary education for its transformative impact on children's development. I aim to create a supportive environment where children can thrive emotionally, mentally, physically, and academically. My teaching career has equipped me with skills in effective communication, adapting to diverse learning styles, and fostering inclusive classrooms. Running an ECE school in Nigeria and organizing creative activities have reinforced my belief in interactive learning. I believe in nurturing the whole child, addressing both academic and emotional needs. With a strong foundation in literacy, numeracy, and modern teaching methodologies, I plan to specialize in special needs education and become a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO). I am eager to develop my skills further through a teacher training program in the UK and am confident in my ability to contribute positively to the teaching profession.

Nadia has chosen to teach business studies due to her passion for the subject and its potential to equip students with essential skills for the future. Her interest in business began at age 14 and continued through to her bachelor's degree. She believes business studies provide vital life skills, such as financial management, problem-solving, and decision-making. Nadia aims to foster students' entrepreneurial and leadership talents, giving them a deeper understanding of business operations, consumer behaviour, and economic systems. She finds teaching rewarding, as it allows her to witness and support students' growth, helping them build confidence and apply business skills in real life. Teaching business studies will also enable her to continue learning alongside her students, contributing to both their success and her personal achievement.

Teaching is my passion. My extensive experience and skills have shaped my strong desire to teach. Since childhood, I've been fascinated by language, leading me to pursue a Bachelor's in English Language and Literature and a Master's in TESOL. I’ve taught English to children in China and teenagers in the UK, finding great joy in the role. Over the past ten years, I’ve taught at language schools, universities, and colleges in Iran, China, and England, refining my class management and lesson planning skills. In Iran, I began teaching English and business. In China, I taught English to children and managed successful summer programs. In the UK, I designed innovative lessons at Brighton Language College while studying for my master's. I seek a PGCE to qualify to teach in the UK and embrace its student-centered, inclusive education system. I believe education can change lives and communities. My goal is to create an engaging classroom where every student is motivated to reach their potential. A PGCE will help me contribute to and learn from a community that values excellence in teaching. I am excited to bring my international experience to the UK, learn from its best practices, and share my insights. My goal is to motivate, educate, and make a meaningful impact on my students' lives.

Shazia’s journey as a student and learner, enriched by excellent mentors, has fueled her passion for teaching. During her MSc at Jammu University, she realised teaching’s vital role in shaping ideas and broadening understanding. She believes education is a social responsibility, essential for developing scientific curiosity and logical thinking in young minds. Shazia's B.Ed further refined her view that good teachers are crucial for a better society. With fourteen years of teaching experience, Shazia began her career as a secondary school science teacher. She then transitioned to Government Middle School Mandi, overcoming challenges with innovative solutions like NGO collaborations. At Boys Higher Secondary School Poonch, she employed diverse teaching tools and methods, earning the Outstanding Science Teacher Award during the COVID-19 pandemic. Transferring to Srinagar, Shazia continued to excel, participating in initiatives to reduce student dropouts and address behavioural crises. She remains dedicated to fostering the 'Society-Science connection' and looks forward to her continued growth as an educator.

Joy Joshua views teaching not merely as a profession, but as a highly rewarding career that allows her to contribute to students' personal development. Her passion for business, deeply rooted in her own academic and professional journey, motivates her to show how it can benefit others as well. Joy believes the Grad2Teach programme is the ideal platform to cultivate her passion for teaching Business Studies. Her enthusiasm for business originates not only from owning a business but also from observing how business skills impact daily life. Skills such as organisation, critical thinking, analysis, problem-solving, and efficient decision-making are essential in both daily life and understanding fundamental business principles. Having completed an undergraduate degree in Law with Business at Nottingham Trent University, Joy has gained a solid understanding of core modules including Business Management, Business Analytics, International Management, and Managing and Organising for Human Resources. Her experience working in various business sectors has further broadened her knowledge of different business practices and honed her ability to convey complex concepts engagingly. Joy believes all teachers recognise the unique differences and learning habits of students. She strives to create a comfortable and engaging space that fosters growth and self-development, promoting self-empowerment. Joy is committed to ensuring every student enjoys and evolves in their learning habits. She aims to continuously encourage critical thinking and teamwork skills, fostering a passion for learning in every student. As a recent graduate with some tutoring experience, Joy finds the Grad2Teach programme’s emphasis on practical training and in-depth mentoring with coordinators aligns perfectly with her goals of becoming an excellent teacher. The programme's structure will help build and refine her teaching skills, which is a key factor in her decision to apply for the Grad2Teach scheme

I have been fascinated by science since primary school and have always wanted to be a science teacher who makes learning enjoyable. My skills include attention to detail, excellent communication, and a passion for science. I use videos, quizzes, debates, and experiments to engage students and ensure they understand the material. This experience taught her patience and the value of using visuals and music in teaching. In her previous role as a science teacher, she found working with young people very rewarding. For her secondary teacher training, Sharon aims to teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, primarily to KS3 students. She believes teaching is crucial for shaping a child's future and strives to make science exciting and accessible. Sharon is a well-rounded science teacher with a background in biochemistry and experience supporting children with special needs. Her advanced degrees have enhanced her ability to communicate complex concepts. She is dedicated, hardworking, and eager to contribute to your company with her enthusiasm, teamwork skills, and friendly nature.
