About the Role

Grad2Teach is offering an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Primary Teacher with a focus on Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 in a welcoming and supportive primary school in Norwich or the wider Norfolk area.

This salaried role provides a structured route to achieving Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) — all while gaining valuable classroom experience from day one.

About Grad2Teach

Grad2Teach offers a salaried, school-based training programme that allows you to earn while you train. You’ll follow a structured training pathway, working towards QTS and PGCE, with personalised mentoring and ongoing professional development to help you thrive in the classroom.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting and leading learning in EYFS and Key Stage 1 classrooms.

  • Creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children aged 3–7.

  • Using play-based and structured learning to develop early literacy, numeracy, and social skills.

  • Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.

  • Developing your teaching practice with the support of experienced mentors.


Requirements:

To be eligible for this role and the Grad2Teach programme, you must have:

  • A UK undergraduate degree (in any subject).

  • GCSE Grade C/4 or above in both English and Mathematics.

  • A passion for working with young children and supporting their early development.

  • Patience, creativity, and excellent communication skills.

  • A genuine commitment to becoming an outstanding teacher.
